Sometimes I feel like Fathers often get overlooked. They are known for their strength, leadership, and of course, humour.
But being a Dad is so much more.
They carry a physical, emotional, and spiritual weight that's often unseen.
This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating all Dads, Step-Dads, Single-Dads, Granddads, and father figures who answer the call of fatherhood, even when it’s tough. Our Father's Day minis are a heartfelt thank you. Perfect for Rugby-Dads, the I-hate-photos-Dads, the morning-cuddle-Dads, and every kind of Dad.
I’ve never been a believer in mini sessions that are just zip-in-zip-out-copy-paste for each family. These sessions, whilst short, are full of heart and are customised to what matters to you. With spaces to adventure, cuddle, play, and dance, we’re creating moments that celebrate the essence of the father in your family.

THE LOCATION
The Home
Nestled in the heart of Tallai, Vrede House exudes warmth and countryside charm (without the long car ride!). The design features natural wood accents which gives that cozy, ‘sit by the fire’ feel. For those who prefer to play outdoors, the lush green front yard & gardens are the perfect space for Dad to kick a footy, play tag or set up a picnic with the kiddos.
Have a newborn bubba that loooves shower time? This space is perfect for skin-to-skin cuddles with Dad under the water. The space has incredible open windows that overlook the gum trees & green gardens.

The Leather Couch
Is the Dad in your family a little bit of a cowboy? This is your space! This zone is ideal for those hero family snaps that you’ll want on your walls, for Christmas cards or as an phone wallpaper. We also have the flexibility to move the couch outdoors, for the cowboy Dads that prefer nature.
The Wildlife Window
I’ve coined this spot the ‘wildlife window.’ I sat here for 5 minutes and felt so much peace and stillness, watching the birds fly by. If we’re lucky, the spot just outside the window has been known to host wallabies! This space is perfect if you really treasures the close and wise chats with Dad.
For all neutral-tone lovers and natural light seekers, this space is just gorgeous for close snuggles on the couch or living room dance parties. The high windows are gorgeous for portraits with Dad & child, with so much wildlife to spot out the window!
The Living Room
The Firepit
Ohhh yeah, bring along the marshmallows! If some of your favourite memories include hearing Dad share his crazy stories around the fire, this is the place to be!
Please note: the fire-pit is weather dependant and will be most effective from 3:30pm sessions onwards.

Yes, your $199 session fee is required to secure your spot. We’ll provide you with all the payment details once your booking time is confirmed.

I understand that life happens, especially with kiddos! ! If you’re running late, please let me know as soon as possible via phone call. As we're shooting back to back, I won't be able to respond to texts or DMs. I will do my best to accommodate late arrivals, but please be aware that your session time may be reduced to ensure we stay on schedule for other families.

Our Mini Sessions are strictly 20 minutes in length and begin at the moment of your booking. For example, if you book a 9am-9:20am session, your time begins at 9am. We recommend arriving 5 minutes prior to your session to unload the kids from the car and settle in. However, due to the back to back nature of mini sessions, please do not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to your session.
Locals tip: There is a Zarraffas Coffee close by...if you're an early bird, grab a cuppa and pop back!

Each session is designed for immediate family members, but if you’d like to include extended family like grandparents, please let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly. Please be aware that for members over 6, we'll be shooting quickly, but will focus on all group shots as opposed to individuals. If you'd prefer more intimate one-on-one snaps, we'd advise booking two sessions.

Yes, please do! Personal items like a footy, favourite toy, or anything special can help make your photos more meaningful and unique. We will provide recommendations based on your questionnaire responses.

Once you've locked in your session time, you'll be required to fill in a family questionnaire. We’ll discuss your Fatherhood story and indicate any preferences and any special spots that are meaningful to you. Our goal is to capture your heart as a Dad in a setting that feels natural and significant.

We recommend comfortable outfits that reflect your family’s style, but most importantly, ones you can move in! Neutral tones and soft pastel colours often work well, but feel free to choose what makes you feel best.

Gold Coast weather can be a little unpredictable! If weather is bad, we'll simply focus our shooting in the indoors spaces & deck area (check out some images above!).

There is parking available for 2 cars at the base of the driveway. For any additional cars, please park on the street and walk down the driveway.
